Rust Industries was started, as JR Alarms by Jonathan Rust in 1986 to manufacture Vehicle Security Devices and was the first British Company to obtain MPT1340 (Licence No 4441 TD 40302)

Since then the company has grown to the point where we had to relocate in September 1993 to a purpose adapted industrial unit of some 5,500 sq. ft in the Altrincham, Cheshire area.

At this point the decision was made to invest heavily in a fully automated S.M.D. production facility, which had to be of the highest quality, and would satisfy all our needs with ample capacity for further expansion. These facilities have been steadily expanded to our present situation. This diversification has grown to the extent that it has now surpassed the original core business and our working practices are geared with flexibility to the competitive nature of this industry.

Quality of product is the cornerstone of Rust Industries, which has always been backed by documentation to ensure the finished product is produced consistently to the specified standard.

Rust Industries has always pursued a policy of continual development of its products. This taking place as: -

1. Customer awareness requests a more sophisticated product.

2. Market Research determines the need for new products

3. The product can be made more User or Installer friendly.

4. The designer sees a detail design modification can enhance performance or Reliability or makes the product more cost effective.

5. New components and materials allow improvements to the design.

6. Volume sales show inherent weakness in an individual component
